These are the first 9 approximations of the Hilbert Curve. This continuous, nowhere differentiable, onto curve maps the interval [0,1] into the unit square: [0,1]x[0,1]. In fact in can be generalized to fill any n-dimensional hypercube. If I get a 3D version working I will be sure to post it.
